Local Missions:

• AIDS Services of North Texas:
  A variety of support services are provided by this organization for those living with HIV/AIDS. Financial support from Trinity members is given annually through our operating budget.

• Community Food Bank:

On 1st Sundays bring canned fruit, canned vegetables (mixed or single), or boxed macaroni and cheese. At Christmas time we make trees of the donated items and place them around the sanctuary.

• Denton Christian Preschool:

  DCPS is a United Way effort supported by many churches and organizations in the community. Its goal is to prepare children from at-risk families for kindergarten. DCPS accepts 3- and 4-year-old children. In addition to helping financially, Trinity members volunteer weekly to prepare meals, ride the school buses, and assist in the classrooms.

• Friends of the Family:

This organization provides a hotline as well as a safe place for women and children who are abused and helps get them reestablished in a home. Counseling services are provided for perpetrators of violence as well as their families.

• Habitat for Humanity:

  Having already built four houses in cooperation with other Presbyterian churches here, we assisted in Denton's first "Blitz Build"; dedication of the house was held on October 10, 1999. On March 4, 2000, the founder of Habitat, Millard Fuller came to Denton and lead public worship. In April, 2001 Denton Habitat members began a new house. Give donations for providing food to Kay Branum. Habitat's office is now housed at Trinity. For more info see Habitat for Humanity of Denton.

   

• HOPE, Inc.:

  This United Way organization helps with housing for individuals at or below the poverty line. Budget planning with the client is a part of this program.

   

• Interfaith Ministries:

  Providing emergency assistance for basic needs of the people of northern Denton County, this organization seeks to help these people to become self-sufficient. Aid may be in the form of utility assistance, purchase of glasses, medical assistance, etc. Volunteers may serve on the board or as counselors for clients.

   

• Our Daily Bread:

  Noon meals are served for the hungry at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Local churches provide volunteers as well as financial support.

Global Missions:

• One Great Hour of Sharing - celebrating 50 years of service in 1999

  Some gifts to OGHS in 1999 found their way to Littleton CO to help pay for funerals as well as to Indian Nations Presbytery to help with their rebuilding efforts since the devastating tornados. This annual offering provides ministry to men, women, and children around the world.
